About me: Hi! I’m Mary B. I am a worship leader in Tucson, Arizona. I play guitar and keyboard. I love to lead worship; I think public worship exalts our God and opens the way for the Kingdom of God to manifest itself through us in this world. But private worship is just as important, and I find that it is my weakness. I get too busy to spend time in private adoring Jesus. I’m hoping this course will help me change that.
About this blog: This blog is designed as a space for me to record my thoughts about the Essentials Worship course (Red module) I am taking this spring. But I also would like to use it as a place for thoughts in general about worship and worship leading.
About the artwork in the blog header: This is part of a photo I took of a night-blooming cereus in our neighborhood. The night-blooming cereus is a beautiful flower that only blooms for one night, once per year. I think is is a good symbol for private worship, in that it opens secretly. Our hearts need to be praising God in private if we are to bring His Kingdom through our public worship.

Neat picture- and it just reminded me of how extravagant God is that he created a flower that only blooms for one night- once a year!! I love that He enjoys details!!
